PanaCast® Camera
The PanaCast® Camera connects you to friends and co-workers anywhere in the world and provides each participant a full panoramic view on their mobile devices. Our state-of-the-art hardware design, advanced algorithms and software are integrated in our ultra-low latency, multi-imager, panoramic-HD video camera. When the PanaCast® Camera is integrated with our cloud services, the PanaCast® Experience, we provide the industry's first immersive live HD video stream with a 200° field of view at an unprecedented price point. PanaCast® Cameras are small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and can easily be moved from room to room and enables immersive panoramic video for everyone, anytime, anywhere.
A characteristic of multi-imager cameras is small seams between the video segments from different imagers. They are normally not very visible. Seams are dependent on distance and can minimized with a seam stitching option in the PanaCast® app.
The PanaCast® Camera can be used in two different modes:
- Use with existing video collaboration (VC) system
- Use with PanaCast® Experience Plan
Use with your existing video collaboration services (1)
The PanaCast® Camera can be used in PanaCam mode which operates seamlessly with your existing video collaboration services. This gives you a full 200 degree field of view within your existing video collaboration tools; no more need to move the camera around. PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) is supported on the host computer connected to the PanaCast® Camera. In this mode, you get the screen and data sharing, IM, scheduling etc of your favorite service, combined with full panoramic view so you can see it all. Use with PanaCast® Experience (2)
PanaCast® Camera used with our optional cloud based service, the PanaCast® Experience, gives you the full immersive experience with simultaneous independent PTZ control for all participants, natively on the devices you already own. The PanaCast® Camera is a Network Attached Camera (NAC) which requires the use of a free driver to make the camera appear as an OS resource for 3rd party video collaboration applications.
